The smoke rises from the battle field
The blue coats stand tall.
They are clearing the battle field
When they find one gray solider still alive.
They take him the the general who recognizes him right away.
It is his brother, tears flood his face.
Long into the night he nurses his brother.
Alass before day break his cry is heard for miles.
When the sun peeks over the horizon
one gray grave is dug by his blue brother.
Let us not forget the horriors of wars won for freedom and the betterment of mankind.
Do not forget those who have seen their brothers on the battle field on the other side.
Just imagine the feeling of having to kill your brother or watching him die, all in the name of peace.
Three friends go into battle
One is captured,
One flies away,
the one that is left becomes a hero.
