PostSubject: Turn and Turn Again   Fri Feb 06, 2009 7:54 pm

Turn this world and turn again,
Watching where it is we've been.
Watch my step to guide your hand,
To walk safely through this land.

Far too dangerous for those alone,
Far too hard for one to atone.
Both to solve in equal time,
Hold me close this darkest night.

Thunder crack with gunfire fall,
The fire crackle down the hall.
Cold cement, hold in place,
I'll take one last look upon your face.

Here they come, gallant wards,
Stand alone to face the hordes.
The rain against the window times my work,
From this challenge, I shall not shirk.

Be my guard against pain of soul,
And keep me gathered in my whole.
In return, I'll die for you,
And that may just be what I do.

Turn this world and turn again,
Watching where it is we've been.
Watch my step to guide your hand,
To walk safely through this land.

Here they come, those shadows foul,
Vulgar rage with gutteral howl.
They pause in step and look at us,
I will do all I must.

Take one step, not at me,
I know what the prize is they see.
Only two of flesh in all the sight,
And they would not challenge my dark might.

A mistake so dire, how dare you fools,
You will not take her from my pull!
Make your move, it'll be your last,
I'll return myself to my past.

They take a step, and one is gone,
Lightning striking upon the lawn.
You will not touch her, shadows dark,
And I will not let her bear your mark.

Turn this world and turn again,
Watching where it is we've been.
Watch my step to guide your hand,
To walk safely through this land.

Another come, with pride so high,
Yet I know which will die.
Back behind me, my angel black,
Give unto me what I lack.

The last stands, so much more,
Time to do what I abhor.
One last kiss, so sickly sweet,
As we know the fate I'll meet.

A heartbeat passes, both in turn,
And for the battle, he does yearn.
Now or move, both in stride,
The burning pain of splitting hide.

Both of us now are falling,
He dead, myself following.
A final wish you must abide,
I want one last moment, then I die.

A sight of you so sad above,
I spin a tale of our love.
If you think you'll be alone,
You will reap what I've sewn.

Goodbye, my love, I've done my deed,
And now my words, you must heed:
I love you so very completely,
One last time, please kiss me sweetly.

With my heart fulfilled and my crimes paid,
I can finally rest where I lay.
Do not miss me, we've had our times,
And remember that you'll always be mine.

Turn this world and turn again,
Watching where it is we've been.
Watch my step to guide your hand,
And away I'll drift through the sand...
